Malone MPG2112: Pilot HM2 - Hitch Mount Platform Expandable 2 Bike Carrier, 2in. The MPG2112 Pilot HM2 is a two bike hitch based transport system. A removable rear end cap allows for installation of the MPG2115 Co-Pilot 2 (available separately). This modular design with optional expansion capability makes the Pilot HM2 a great choice. Constructed of powder coated steel and marine grade aluminum, the Pilot HM2 requires a 2in (the extra strength is needed when adding the Co-Pilot 2). The padded ratchet arms hold the bikes securely by the front wheel eliminating contact with the frame.Ideal for carbon framed, full suspension, and fat tire bikes. Two bike capacity (four bike with optional MPG2115 C0-Pilot 2). Removable rear end cap for installation of the MPG2115. Fold-up frame design keeps the carrier out of the way when not in use. Tilts down and away from vehicle for access to rear hatch or trunk.
Secures bike without frame contact with adjustable pivoting ratchet. Bike to bike interference is eliminated by and wheel tray mounts. Best for carbon frames, road, mountain, downhill, bmx, and fat bikes.
Fits 20in - 29in wheels and up to 5in fat tires with adjustable wheel holders. Anti-wobble locking hitch pin ensures a rattle free transport.
Semi-retracting cable lock for added security. Two bike capacity - Four bike with addition of MPG2115 (available separately). Fully locking; rack to /bike to rack. Not compatible with tandem or recumbent long wheel base bikes. Dimensions: 31in x 39in x 15in.
