Maxxraxx 5 bike Cycle rack carrier Tow Bar Mount Height Extension Carrier

Maxx Raxx 5 bike rack, fits on tow bar flange. Bought for my old Shogun LWB. The upright is designed to curve around the rear spare wheel. Carries 5 adult bikes with ease (max 80kg). This can also be used on a car without a spare wheel on the back as you can set the horizontal bar one setting further in so 1 bike sits behind the vertical bar (where the tyre would normally be) with the other 4 on the front.

The set comes with a height extension (400mm), which I used to allow me to tow a trailer at the same time as bikes - the extension allowed me to clear the jockey wheel - you may or may not be able to do this depending on the clearance and nose weight on your hitch (shogun hitch was 150kg). For security the tow bar bracket padlocks (2 keys) to the extension bar and a steel cable comes out of the horizontal bar to lock the bikes in place with a further padlock (only 1 key).

There is also a padlock for the hitch connection pin which locks the assembly to the tow bar. I also include a 50mm hitch extension which was used to gain more clearance, and a number plate carrier which I have never used. The rack comes with toggle tie downs to stabilize the carrier, i secured this to the shogun roof rails and also used a ratchet strap (not included) to secure to the rear wheel carrier. Excellent rack in good condition.
