Orbit Tandem plus carrier

I bought this tandem new in 1990 to do a London to Paris ride with my wife. We completed the ride with no problems and did many training runs to get fit for it.

After that kids came along and the poor thing has spent the last 22 years hanging on the garage wall. It is obvious we are not going to use it again and so it is time to pass it on so it can spend more time on the road where it belongs.

It is 21" at the front and 17" at the back and so is suitable for a steerer of about 5'8 and a small stoker around 5', so would be ideal for a youth stoker at the back. It is made from Reynolds 531 competition tubing with Sachs gears, down tube gear levers, Stronglight chain sets and Shimano cantilever brakes with a Maxi-Car drum break on the rear wheel. For it's age I would say it is in good condition as it has done few miles for it's age but does show sign of age. The CLB break lever hoods have small splits in them and the bike would need a good service with brake & gear cables changing for new.
