If you're looking at this you probably have some idea of the quality of these. This isn't the in the same league as the standard wooden box cargo trike, Originally imported from Holland, it's in super condition having had new fenders, battery, and extra wide tyres for comfort last year.Full aluminium box (unlike most brands with heavy wooden ones). The bucket is currently set up for two seats (complete with seatbelts), but I have a spare seat so it can be used for 4 (although it could do with a repair to the material). Complete with fenders, twin LED headlights, sunstar 280W electric motor with 3 levels of assist, 3 speed internally braked rear hub and sturmey archer shifter, low maintenance front drum brakes, built in wheel lock. It had a new 15Ah battery (end of last year that gets me 10 miles to work and 10 miles back easily), original black Johnny Loco fully enclosed waterproof hood, and a home made racing style open cover with windscreen, new LED tail light fitted to rear fender.. This total setup would cost over 5 grand if you include the covers and extra seats.
Some advice - If you are looking at your first cargo bike - please don't underestimate how hard they can be to peddle up hill when they are full of little people..... Even if you don't go for this one you seriously need to consider an electric bike if you live anywhere other than Norfolk! This has saved us running a second car since we have had it so its easy to justify the initial outlay.Ive saved about 300 quid a month. I'm 6'2 and it rides well, but the seat drops right down so it is a true one size bike. You will wait years for another of these to come up in the uk.
